Nars have recently launched some new lip pencils. One type is the 'satin lip pencil' and the other is the 'velvet lip pencil'.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of each and thought id share my thoughts with you all!
The pencils are sleek and compact, which i love and you can use a sharpener to get more product out of the pencil - just like a real pencil!
Lodhi is the Satin Lip pencil and Dolce Vita is the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil.
The difference between the two is actually quite noticeable. The Satin lip pencil is more pigmented than the velvet one, it applies easily and is instantly a bold colour, whereas Dolce Vita, the Velvet Matte lip pencil is a more subtle colour, very buildable.
I like both of these, i prefer the velvet lip pencil because sometimes i want a subtle color on my lips, and there are also days when i want a bold colour, so it's nice to be able to build the color up.
Aside from that, these last really well, i wore Dolce vita in the morning and it was still on my lips at lunch, after lunch i removed that color and put on Lodhi, and again, it lasted well into the evening.
Nars may well be a high end brand, but their products are well worth their money. I would recommend the velvet pencil to anyone who likes a subtle, buildable colour, and id recommend the satin lip pencil to anyone who likes to go bold.
