Naked Basics Palette

I am sure you are all sick of reading reviews on this palette but I wanted to put my two pence worth in as I think this palette has mixed reviews.
I was lucky enough to win this in a giveaway on Hot Mess In A Dress, so was very grateful about that. Thank you Cassidy.
I was really intrigued as to see if this was worth the hype, having owned the other two palettes I wanted to see if a third was taking it too far.
As you can see the palette contains 6 shadows which are all matte except the lightest shade Venus which is more of a satin finish. It is also a lot smaller than you expect, it fits on my hand. The packaging is a similar texture to Nars, it has that rubbery feel to it. I also found it quite difficult to get open but I still prefer this packaging out of all three palettes.
I am not usually a fan of matte shades as I find them chalky and lack pigment but these are nothing like I have tried before. They are really smooth and one touch and you get a good color pay off. Obviously slightly less pigmentation on the lighter shades. I do find the shade crave feels a little rough to the touch but that is forgiven as it is the most pigmented black shadow I have ever seen. You literally have to touch you brush slightly into the pan to get enough color.
I think if I was going o change anything about the palette it would be to remove either w.o.s or Foxy as I have found these shades I don't really use. I think if a gray shade was added instead this would be perfect.
Overall I think this a fantastic palette and I have created some great neutral looks with it. I don't think it is a must have but if you are lacking neutral matte colours in your collection then it definitely is worth checking out. I also think it would be great if you are just starting out with wearing make up.
Have you tried this palette yet? What's your thoughts?
