Nail Polishes, Let’s Talk Kiko | Guest Post

By Beautybykaris @beautybykaris

Hey There,

Another week with out internet, (How did we ever cope before?) and I have the wonderful Jennifer guest posting for me today. I just love the way she writes, and her photos are perfect. SO make sure you go check her blog out!! I’m just popping out to get some of that Santorini Blue.

And now I will pass you on to Jennifer herself…

Well hello everyone! I’m Jennifer from Barely There Beauty and the lovely Karis has let me infiltrate her blog today to bring you a little guest post! If you’re into nails, stick around, you’re in for a treat.

Kiko is a wonderfully inexpensive, drugstore brand that carries a multitude of cosmetic products in their stores. Their nail polishes cost next to nothing but have really surprised me with their quality! They go on smooth, not streaky and wear well without a top or basecoat, because let’s face it, I’m too busy lazy for that.

They’ve got a huge range of shades in various finishes, and, if you’re into nail polishes, it’s quite tempting to just casually sweep the whole lot into your basket! I’ve picked a few faves to show you, so take a pew and let’s ramble about nail polishes awhile!

519 or ‘Mariner’s Blue’ as I’d like to name it, is a deep bordering-navy hue. It’s the perfect backdrop for any nautical nail art (such as these I wore to the beach).

385 aka Santorini Blue (I think I’ve found my new vocation) is a gorgeous, bright, cornflower-cobalt blue that reminds me of the vibrant rooftops in Santorini. I think it would be just perfect for some moroccan tile nail art; got to indulge my blue and white love after all!

319 is the perfect grey-come-beige-come-mauve color that is completely understated and work-chic.

303 is a gorgeous beige-y-mauve metallic polish. It looks lovely as the french mani tips with 319 as the base.

488 or Pool Party Pink??? is a bright, summery pink shot with a ton of gold glitter. Although obviously different in shade, it’s rather similar to the coveted Morning Rose by Chanel, that was sadly discontinued, with the glittery gold sheen.

486 is a bright but warm, deep, dusky pink. It’s such a good transitional color from summer to autumn.

365 is a yummy, darker, berry/plum tone. You can always go matchy-matchy with it and go with a similar coloured lip. I personally think this one looks gorgeous with brunette hair and an olive-y undertone.

Have you tried Kiko polishes?? You can catch me over at www.BarelyThereBeauty.com and twitter // bloglovin // pinterest and thank you to the lovely Karis for letting me write to you today!  Jennifer x
