When these creams first arrived I wasn't that fussed to be honest, I always used to be a really high coverage foundation kind of girl and the thought of wearing a light coverage scared me.
As my skin has improved (that's a whole other post) I have been reaching more for a lighter coverage. In fact I can't actually remember the last time I wore a foundation. It has been all about the CC/BB creams.
From what I can tell BB & CC creams are pretty much the same thing, they are an all-in-one facial cosmetic product, a serum, moisturiser, primer, foundation, and sunblock. The only difference being is that CC creams have color correction properties as well.
I tend to treat these like a tinted moisturiser, I still do my full skincare routine then apply this after my moisturiser or sunscreen (depending on how the SPF is in the BB/CC cream) The different ones I have tried vary in coverage but they all even out the skin tone and give my skin a flawless finish without being oily. One of the many reasons I prefer them to a tinted moisturiser.
I also have used these as primers in the past and they work just as well, especially if you want that bit of extra coverage. These work under powder and liquid foundation and also can act as an SPF.
As for skincare benefits I am not sure if they actually do much, though at the same time I don't use the same one for a long enough period to test this.
I think the combination of using BB/CC creams and a good skincare routine has helped my skin, so I would say they do something, but just on there own I don't think they will transform your skin.
I think if you are still unsure about BB/CC creams, just think of them as tinted moisturiser that are less oily and better for the skin.
I know I love them and will continue to try as many as possible.... Oh yes, its the new obsession.
I would love to hear your thoughts?
