My November Favorites (Lots of Skincare This Month!)

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
Hi, everyone! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and scored some great deals. I took some much needed time to re-energize between stuffing my face. Thanks to a couple of different sets, I have found a few new skincare favorites. Actually, there will probably be a lot more skincare in this post than makeup. That might be a first here on Atlantan Beauty. I may have briefly mentioned a few of these products on Instagram and previous posts, but they are worth mentioning again.
1.) Boscia's Detoxifying Black Cleanser and Bamboo Charcoal Konjac Sponge
I lumped these two together because that is the best way to use them. I have been using the cleanser on it's own since the beginning of the month and I loved it. But once I added in the Konjac sponge...wow. It works even better. The cleanser lathers up so much more and my skin feel much more clean. The sponge is gentle enough for daily use. I have, well used to have, tiny bumps on the sides of my face and now they are almost all gone. My skin doesn't get as red as before and I have finally stopped breaking out. Thank you, Boscia!
If you want to try these two products, I highly recommend getting the Perfectly Poreless Collection by Bosica. It comes with the sponge, 5 oz of the cleanser, and a travel size of the Luminizing Black Mask. I would have just included the entire set, but the mask didn't do anything for my skin. It didn't hurt my skin, but it didn't help it.  JC Penney also has some fantastic exclusive sets that have a small bottle of the cleanser that will last a long time.

2.) Agave Spa Facial Makeup Remover
I like to keep things 100% real on here, so I'll start by saying that I didn't have high expectations of this skincare line. But they have blown me away. Especially this makeup remover. I have been using it to remove my eye makeup and wow. It does the job far better than 99% of makeup removers I have tried. Stubborn eyeliner and mascara? Gone. In just one or two swipes. I also appreciate that it comes in a bottle with a pump. It is $18 for 2.8 oz, but you can get 10% off with my code GABEAUTY. It is an affiliate code. It is a bi-phase remover and it does have an oily feel, but it doesn't make my skin greasy. It is good stuff. I've also been using a couple of their face creams, but I want to use them a little bit longer before talking about them.

3.) GlamGlow Poutmud Fizzy Lip Exfoliating Treatment & Wet Lip Balm Treatment
I don't know what I was expecting when I first bought this, but I certainly did not anticipate it becoming my go to lip balm. The exfoliating treatment and balm work perfectly together. The scrub gently and effectively removes any dead skin cells. It does tingle a little bit, but it isn't bad. The balm is thick and hydrating, but not sticky. My lips feel about a 1000 times softer than before. I use the scrub twice a week and the lip balm every night before bed.

4.) Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm
I haven't been one to religiously use eye cream. I'll clean my face twice a day, apply serum, and exfoliate on the regular, but I have always been bad about applying eye cream. Until now. I have two sample jars of this stuff and I am convinced they will last a lifetime. It is very hydrating while also being lightweight. It doesn't irritate my eyes in any way. I cannot speak on how it performs in regards to puffiness and fine lines. All I know is that my eye area is moisturized and as a result, my skin looks a lot better. Like the Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser, there are a few Sephora Favorites sets with this product in it. The jar may look small, but it will last and last.

5.) Josia Maran 100% Argan Oil
I love using this at night. When I wake up, my skin looks soft and supple. It hasn't broken me out, either. It also does wonders for my hair. I did an experiment one night where I only put argan oil in my hair, and I was stunned by how healthy it looked. It had a shine that I almost never see.

6.) Japonesque Pixelated Color Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is gorgeous! The pixelated shades sparkle and shine on your eyes in all the right ways. I won't say too much because my next post is going to be a review of this stunning product.

7.) Sephora Color Wishes 5 Eyeshadow Palettes
This set of eyeshadow duos is great for a few reasons. The obvious one is that they are adorable. Secondly, they quality is really good. Finally, they are perfect for mornings you don't have a lot of time to get ready. Oh, and the set is only $15.

8.) Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick
I bought this foundation on a whim during Sephora's VIB Rouge sale, and it has become a fast favorite of mine. The coverage is perfect and it doesn't look cakey.  It does have a dewy finish, but it has never made me look greasy. I will have a review coming up soon.

9.) Coty Airspun Translucent Extra Coverage Loose Powder
I was in the market for a face powder and this one seemed promising. It is actually amazing. It doesn't look or feel heavy, and it does provide a little extra coverage if you need it. The smell is quite strong, but it doesn't linger for long.
10.) Caudalie Beauty Elixir
I started using this product last year. My mom got me the little ornament, which is 1 oz. I have used it sparingly since then and I finally used up the last drop a few weeks ago. Then I upgraded to the 3.4 oz bottle. It feels so very luxurious and refreshing. It wakes up your skin and your mind. My face looks brighter, less red, and hydrated after using it.

11.) SNP Bird's Nest Aqua Eye Patch
I've had these patches for a few months, but I really started using them towards the end of October.  They don't slide all over your face, they ease puffiness, and they just help make you fresh and alert.  You get 60 in a tub, and they will last awhile. I don't use them every singe day. I may use then two or three times a week. I found them on Memebox. Be careful on the site. You can spend ages on there and be tempted to buy all kinds of Korean skincare you don't really need.

12.) Up & Up Complexion Brush Set
Yes. As in Target brand brushes. Don't knock 'em until you try 'em. This set comes with 4 brushes: concealer brush, angled blush brush, highlighter brush, and your everyday foundation brush. The set is $11.99 and the quality is awesome. They are very soft and do not shed at all. They also come with a colorful plastic bag that I have been keeping my smaller brushes in. They aren't anything fancy, but they are great budget friendly brushes. I need to clean these again. They are looking a little rough.

As you can see, I have been focusing a lot more on skincare this month. I have been feeling a little sluggish and uninspired as far as makeup goes. I am trying to get out of that funk. Does this happen to anyone else from time to time?
