Insecurities. Everybody has insecurities of his or her own, but one thing’s for sure, high school was a time when I felt the most insecure about how I looked. When I was in high school, I would occasionally get pimple on my face and whenever it’s on my forehead, I would try to cover it with my bangs, which probably wasn’t a good idea since it could’ve irritate it more. Even my friends did that too. Growing up, I realized that I shouldn’t be insecure about it since it’s totally normal and everyone experiences that. I was pretty ignorant about skincare routines back then. All I used was soap on my face and I was good to go. To this day, I still get a pimple here and there but I just ignore it and wait until it dries out. I never popped a pimple in my life and I never plan on trying it because I’m scared that it might get bigger and spread. To prevent pimples/acne, it is really important for us to find the right products to use on our face. We only have one face and we better take care of it!
As I have mentioned in my previous posts, my skin type is oily/combination, sensitive. I have some redness around my nose area, slight acne scars on my right jaw line and some blemishes on my left cheek, but other than that, my skin is doing well. To be honest, I have been attentive to my skin for the past few months after that bad allergic reaction that I had from trying out a skincare product last summer.
Today, I’d like to share with you the products that I use for my morning skincare routine.
1) Clean & Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Facial Cleanser
You guys probably have seen this in my previous posts since I’ve been using this shine control cleanser for the past year, but there were times when I tried and used other cleansers. But after that allergic reaction I had, I went back to using this and this alone cleared up and brightened my skin. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and shine-free. Every after use, I make sure that I moisturize my face since this cleanser dries out my dry areas a bit and I don’t want those dry patches showing up.
2) Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent for Sensitive Skin
This is perfect facial toner for me as I have sensitive skin. It deeply cleans and removes excess oil and dirt from my face. This helps me clear out my blackheads on my nose and chin area and also helps me not to get pimples.
3) Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer
This is another face moisturizer that I have used before and loved it. It smells like cucumber, is very lightweight and absorbs easily. I also like that it doesn’t leave my face greasy.
4) Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets
For someone who gets oily on the t-zone, this is my best friend throughout the day! It absorbs the excess oil but doesn’t smudge my makeup whenever I have some on. For the next month, I will be in the Philippines, and it is hot and humid there, so this will definitely come in handy since I don’t want to look like a grease ball later during the day.

What about you? What products do you use on your face?
I hope that you guys enjoyed this post. Just a piece of advice, especially to those being hit by puberty, love yourself no matter what and don’t be afraid to let people see the real you. Remember, it’s normal to have pimples, but as long as you choose the right skincare for you, it’ll clear up. It might take a few hit and misses to find the perfect products, but once you find the one, it’ll be all worth it.
