My Favorite Fall Food Traditions

By Healthlovechoc

I will forever be a lover of hot summer days and warm summer nights, but autumn has a way of stealing my heart every year. Perhaps its the scarves and foamy chai lattes, or maybe its the nights spent wrapped in a blanket by the fire, or it could quite possible simply be the straight up gorgeousness of the changing leaves. Whatever it is, fall leaves me smitten (see what I did there, hmm?).

Since we know I am all about the food, I thought I would share my favorite fall food traditions.

Hot Drinks ~ coffee, chai lattes, apple cider…if it’s warm and cozy and I can wrap my freezing hands around it, I like it. I also happen to be an almond milk hot chocolate making expert.

Baked Goods ~ baking is one of my favorite forms of therapy, and getting to indulge in the end result is nice as well.

Pumpkin Anything ~ this is just a given. I fit nicely into the stereotype.

Homemade Soup ~ this is not to say that I am good at making soup…this is to say that I enjoy when other people make me soup.

S’mores ~ Give me some chocolate, marshmallows, and gluten free graham crackers and I am a happy girl. I am actually hoping to make these babies happen the authentic way this season as I have a potential camping trip in the works.

Be sure to check out Raise.com if you’re looking to save a few extra dollars on your fall recipes. Raise is the first online marketplace to buy and sell gift cards, where you can buy discount gift cards to your favorite stores or sell your unwanted gift cards for cash. Their gift card marketplace has a wide variety of brands; from Starbucks to Target to Whole Foods (three of my favorite places on earth), they have everything to meet all of your autumn needs. I, for one, forsee myself having way too much fun using this site, and I absolutely love the idea of it.
