My Current Everyday Long Lasting Mummy Make-up

By Livedwithlove @kerrymarie

I love make-up and always have.. I rarely leave the house without it. Since being a busy, working from home mum, I have tried to speed up my daily make-up routine and also ensure it lasts all day.. no longer do I have time for touch ups in between the hours.
Just before Christmas, all of my make-up started running out at the same time so I decided to replace it all and try some new products instead of going for the old staples. I have been loving most of what I got so I thought I'd share with you what I've been wearing on a daily basis!

Base:
To perfect my skin, I use primer, foundation, concealer and powder. I have been using a sample of the Laura Mercier primer and I love it, it really helps my foundation stay put and gives a smoother finish. I may have to invest in the full size, I will definitely be using it on my wedding day. My favorite foundation is the Clarins Everlasting foundation.. It reminds me of Estee Lauder's double wear but without the heavy, suffocated skin feeling. It also lasts really well on the skin and the shade 'honey' matches me perfectly when I have used my favorite Cocoa brown tan. I use the concealers under my eyes to hide my dark circles and these two (Clinique's line smoothing concealer & Collection illuminating touch concealer) work brilliantly together! I then set everything with the Miner's fresh faced powder.

Bronze, contour, highlight & blush:
Depending how tanned my body is, I sometimes use the Too faced cocoa powder foundation too bronze my skin up and match it to my neck as I don't tan my face. I add a slight stronger contour using Barry M chisel cheeks contour kit and then add my Kiko moon dust face powder in mysterious pink for blush (full review & swatch here). Most of the time I will add an extra highlight using No7 instance radiance highlighter to give me even more of a glow!

 Eyes:
For my eyebrows, I just use an eyebrow brush with a dark brown eyeshadow from an old Kiko palette I have. I then use the Urban decay primer potion to create a good base as I do find my lids get quite oily and my eyeshadow moves around, this helps so much though! It covers any discolouration first and then keeps my eyeshadow looking perfect all day.
L-R : Punk, zone, bathwater
For eyeshadow, I have been using the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette constantly since getting it! I adore all the colours and the pigmentation and formulation is fab! They blend so effortlessly and all the natural tones work well together to create a natural yet defined look. I generally use the shades 'Bathwater, Zone and Punk' most days but sometimes I do switch it up with a bit of the other colours. If you love neutrals it's a brilliant palette, I don't think you need any other colours. For eyeliner, I use the L'oreal super liner which is perfect.. super black, easy to use and stays puts. On my bottom waterline, I use the Kiko kajal in rose to get rid of any redness and really help brighten my eyes. My mascara is Maxfactor's Velvet volume false lash effect mascara. It's the one I reach for everyday as it gives amazing lashes in seconds! I don't need to spend ages layering on too much which is brilliant and it stays put as well.

Lips:
Most of the time I will just put a bit of lip balm on but I do love a good nude lip as well if I have time. One of my favorite lipsticks is called 'the one' by Makeup Revolution. It is only £1 so I wasn't expecting much but the color is just perfect for me and the formulation is great too! I definitely recommend picking it up.
(sorry about the orange finger prints! haha!)

Setting spray:
I have only just started using a setting spray but I think it makes the world of difference! I use the Urban decay de slick setting spray (as I have oily skin) and it really helps everything set and blend together and stay in place. I really notice when I don't use it and it hasn't broken me out either so I highly recommend it!
So that's my routine! It sounds like a lot of products but I use them sparingly so I still look natural (ish) and now I'm so used to doing the same look, it only takes me about 15 minutes in the morning.. although I feel like I will have to cut it down even more when baby girl arrives ;)
