My Christmas Memories & Traditions

Day 23 & 24 #Bigblogmasproject2014

Hey There,

Well my Christmas Eve has started of VERY well, I finished work until the 31st today, got lots of GREAT presents from my Managers and Secret Santa, followed by some Christmas drinks. I am now sat down watching 101 Dalmations, while typing this post. And afterwards I’ll be off out for a Christmas meal with the girls….JUST PERFECT!

I’ve been looking forward to writing this post, as this is the first year where our Christmas traditions are starting to change. Well I suppose over the years at uni and as we have all got a little older and found ourselves in various places around the world our traditions have altered, But as far as I can remember, every Christmas we would go to my Aunties up north, (Cheshire). We would spend Christmas Eve carol singing, followed by Church on Christmas Day, followed by Christmas Dinner and of course the Queens speech and more food. Our Boxing day would then be spent at my Aunties freinds, where up until I thought I was too cool, I would spend most the day entertaining everybody with my singing, (Or so I thought I was). One of my memories from when I was younger is me, in my BRIGHT pink Barbie velour jeans, trainers and black top, (Who dressed me?) singing Christmas songs for everyone.

Now that my sisters all settled in her new home, just had a little baby, (Very proud Auntie), and my brothers half way around the world, our yearly trip to Cheshire for Christmas seems so long ago. But now that a little one has come along, (Very excited Auntie) I feel like new traditions will be set. I am extremely excited for when I get to be a big kid as my little nephew grows up.

What are your Christmas traditions and memories? Will you be setting any new ones this year?

Happy Christmas Eve.

Lots of love,
