My fiancé and myself just before the shower began.
My dad and my uncle slaved in the kitchen for hours preparing us a delicious Mexican Sunday brunch. We had chilaquiles {my absolute favorite}, machaca, soyrizo, papas, rice, and tortillas.
There was also fresh fruit, coffee, sangria, mimosas and pan dulce for dessert.
My mom decorated the house so beautifully. There were pink roses everywhere, photos of Stephen and I {from our engagement shoot}, crystals, candles and confetti.
On this table are some precious memories that I gave to my mom to display - cards from Stephen from our first Valentine's Day and our one year anniversary as well as the cards he made when he proposed to me.
One of the games was "guess Heather's age" in these photos.
My mom got me a Bride To Be sash and a tiara for my special day.
Me and my beautiful mom.
My parents. They brought my shower to life. It wouldn't have even happened if it weren't for them.
My future mother-in-law. I got so incredibly lucky with her {and my future father-in-law}. I always worried I wouldn't like my in-laws after all the horror stories I've heard but I absolutely love them!
My aunt and uncle. This is my dad's brother {the other cook of the day} and his wife. Their daughter and I grew up very close. I wished she could have been there but she lives in Arkansas now. And she just had her second baby.
My beautiful flower girl and niece.
Some of my girls.
Little baby Logan - my nephew.
My mom had these cookies made for the shower.
And then there were my gifts. This was a personal shower so most of the items I received were lingerie but I will share some of the gifts that are appropriate for this setting...
I actually received two Bride tank tops. One is white and one is a light teal.
I received the Love Spell collection, which was actually one of my favorite scents when I was younger.
Victoria's Secret perfume.
We received an Idyllwild getaway basket which is so perfect for us. We love Idyllwild and we go there often. We're actually going early next month but this one will be saved for later since that cabin has already been paid for.
My mom got me Father of the Bride because we plan on watching that the night before the wedding.
And my parents got me these keys that I had been eyeing. I can't wait to hang them up in our house.
My mom had a key chain made for me that says Mrs. Meyer on it.
And this is something my dad had made for us. It's absolutely perfect!
My friend, Kelly, remembered that I needed a bouquet for our rehearsal so she made me one out of the bows and tissue paper from my gifts. She's so creative!
