Mother of Pearl Brooch: Your Fashion Choice

By Ginetedw @DEXTERGINETE

Let us face it! Women can't live without accessories jewelries, and anything that shines, shimmers or sparkles. They can come in any form: bangles, cuffs, necklaces, rings, wristlets, anklets, earrings but what strikes me the most is the brooch, also known in ancient times as a fibula: a decorative item designed to be attached to any outfit, be it a dress, cocktail outfit, corporate attire or simply casually laid back top or blouse. The function is to hold the attire close, specially in the neckline, so instead of using buttons, a brooch may be used instead. It is also placed in the chest part of the item as a decoration to replace the pocket design.

A brooch is usually made of metal, silver or gold but is usually a bronze. It is detailed with enamel or gemstones, and may be solely for ornametal. It can also be used as a fastener like in a cloak, tunic or a wrap around dress. Have you seen those drape clothes that can be used as a DIY (do-it-yourself) style, well, a brooch can accentuate your style and give a new meaning to the outfit. Gone are the days when brooches are made of bronze. Now, you can have that fabulous brooch made of mother of pearl, or scientifically, Nacre.

According to Wikipedia, Nacre, or mother or pearl is an organic-inorganic composite material produced by some mollucs as an inner shell layer. As an outer coating of pearls, it is strong, resilient and iridescent: three element characteristics that make up a product; the same qualities that can be used as a primary product for a brooch.

This exquisitely designed and intricately crafted brooch is mainly made of mother of pearl with raisin pellets and Australian Crystals. See the intertwine beauty of the Nacre and its ultra chic colors made with white glossy crystals that truly radiates, emanates and mystifies. It seems to redefine your femininity and accentuate your innermost aura. It is he brooch that speaks it all: fashion, beauty and glamour. What more could you ask for? Any outfit that is colored teal, magenta or cyan can blend through with this brooch, brought to you only by Chatoyer et Etinceler...the foremost authority in stylish accessories.

During the Bazaar for all Seasons at the Elements Tent, Centris Mall, I wore this outfit: Suede wide brim hat, with trench coat, fringe necklace, printed top, black trousers and an animal print purse! But, do you know what is lacking? A type of brooch that can fit right perfectly into that deep orange coat (color for summer!) Luckily, I was able to find this brooch from Chatoyer et Etinceler. See how it perfectly defines the outfit with that almost pink turned red brooch which is carefully crafted by Marshella Jamaira Tan of Chatoyer et Etinceler.

The Black raisin pellets and Australian crystals over the Mother of pearl is a splendid and remarkable combination of true workmanship and awesome creativity. Truly, only Marshella Jamaira Tan can transform a work of nature into a work of art. Through stained hands, wounded fingers, sleepless nights and tiresome days of twitching, crossing, bending and twisting wires and stones, she was able to turn nature into fashion: Nacre into ART! This is a style that is truly impressive and emulative. My friend deserves nothing else than  thousands claps of hands and adoration. A true accessory genius!
