Today has just not been my day. And I really shouldn’t complain because I was lucky enough to be missed by all the tornado damage that hit my area this weekend, and I’m really more stressed than “upset” but still… I had to both buy
Speaking of ZCP contracts (awkward transition alert…) Today is ZCP Monday! So go read the conclusion of Mark River’s Home, Hearth, and Hell. It’ll make your day better! (unless you and Monday get along, in which case…I hate you).
This is the picture I found on Pinterest. These are just those regular magazine/paper organizers you can find anywhere. I’ve seen cheap ones at Target in all sorts of colors, they’re usually plastic though. Basically what you do is get the magazine holder you want, paint and/or stain it (make them look pretty), turn them on their side, and then screw them into your wall. So easy! My goal is to get about four of these and put them in the useless corner space behind my door. The door opens inward so I have all this extra space, but can’t use it for anything or the door won’t open. These shelves, however, solve that problem perfectly. They nest in the corner so you don’t lose space, but they don’t stick out so far as to interfere with the door opening and closing. I’m really looking forward to giving these a whirl. I might even try to make them look pretty and pain a design on them, but we’ll see. My main goal is to get the shelves up and see how well they work. Then I can always go back and pain a design on the top.
The person who posted this idea said you can get these shelves at Ikea, but like I said, I’ve seen them at Target and Michaels, you can probably get them cheap at Wal-Mart too. Has anyone tried this idea before? I think it’s so cool, I don’t know how it’s never occurred to me before. Any suggestions for designs I could do? I could wrap them with wrapping paper I guess, that’s something quick. All the possibilities. I’m in a better mood already.
Hope you’re all enjoying your Monday! Go do something crafty.
