Midnight Shine!!

By Neerajnavare

As said, I shall be using the Stila Luxe Palette quite a lot of times to create some amazing tuts. These eyeshadows are cream to powder and so so amazing. (Pardon the little lashlings). This look is inspired by night time discos. The impact of these high watt shimmers is very intense in disco lights so do not be judgmental with the look posted here.

Somehow after doing the tutorial I realised that these colors are very similar to the YSL Pure Chromatics No.19 and almost looks the same especially when the eyeshadows are used wet. Anyways lets see how to do this look.........
Prep and prime the skin and apply a thin layer of a sheer to medium coverage foundation. I used my beloved Christian Dior Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Foundation SPF 20.

Conceal under eyes with Clinique All About Eyes Concealer in 05. Fix the makeup with YSL Matte And Radiant Compact Powder in 04 Pink Beige. What a fantastic powder it is!!

Prime the lids with an eyeshadow primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion. These secure the eyeshadows and lock them to prevent them from creasing.

For an additional covering and to create high impact, apply Tarte Amazonian Clay waterproof eyeshadow in Soft Plum.

In the crease, apply Stila eyeshadow in Bordeaux, Apply and blend it a bit on the lid and a bit towards the brow bone.

Apply Stila eyeshadow in Crushed Velvet on the outer corners of upper and lower lids. Blend the eyeshadows to merge with each other at their boundaries.

On the entire lid apply Stila eyeshadow in Cashmere. This is a lovely iridescent cashmere brown and is my favorite color to create neutral looking smokey eyes.

On the center of the lid apply Stila eyeshadow in Pink Diamond. Take this eyeshadow upwards towards the brow bone for a line of shimmer. It looks incredibly shiny. Highlight the brow bone with Stila eyeshadow in Bubblebath.

Line the upper lash line with Crushed Velvet to create a burgundy brown definition.

Apply Cashmere eyeshadow in the inner half of lower lid and smoke it out.

Curl lashes with MAC eye lash curler and apply 2-3 coats of YSL Faux Cils mascara in Noir Radical.

To make it a bit dramatic, I applied a touch of Duck's egg blue from the Guerlain Ombre De Nuit eyeshadow quad. I just love that lime green pop of color. I also applied Pink Diamond over the green to make it bedazzling.
Pair the eyes with pinker tones in blush and lips. I used Clinique Blushing Blush in Smoldering Plum and highlighted with Guerlain Meteorites Pressed Powder in Cruel Gardenia. On the lips, apply Guerlain Rouge G lipstick in Grenade and plump it up with Guerlain Gloss D'enfer lip gloss in Prune Zip 2.
This is one of the most dramatic looks I have done and unfortunately the camera does not do justice to the bedazzling shimmers. So do try out and please share your pics.
Till then,
Ciao
