I wouldn't blame you if, like me, you instantly thought of that infamous ESPN The Magazine cover featuring Ricky Williams and Mike Ditka as the bride and groom.
That one was a classic. Though, admittedly, the honeymoon phase didn't last too long there, and overall, it was a rather tumultuous union.
But something tells me that the pairing of former Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd with the Arizona Cardinals -- and more importantly, franchise face Larry Fitzgerald -- will prove to be the perfect relationship in the not so distant future.
The Cardinals got lucky landing this kid at No. 13, and no one was likely happier than Floyd, except maybe new teammate Fitz, that the former Fighting Irish star was taking his talents to the desert.
Fitzgerald has long been pushing for a new legitimate No.2 running mate after the team sent Anquan Boldin packing to the Baltimore Ravens for third, fourth, and fifth-round picks in the 2010 draft.
The team thought they had found an ample replacement when Steve Breaston stepped in and caught 47 passes in Boldin's stead in 2010, but the former Michigan Wolverine packed up his suitcases after landing a nice deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Early Doucet and Andre Roberts performed admirably when given opportunities, but they're both arguably slot receivers at best.
No, the Cardinals needed to make a big splash. And whom better to make it with than a young receiver who not only idolizes Fitzgerald, but models his own game after the perennial Pro Bowler's.
He changes the look of Arizona's offense. Instead of looking for someone to play second fiddle to Fitzgerald, the Cardinals instead have a player just like him -- strong, big-bodied with a knack for making the tough catches.
It's scary, really, to think that while facing constant double and triple-teams coupled with having no stability at the quarterback position, Fitzgerald still lit up opposing defenses in 2011 for an astonishing 1,411 yards.
Fitzgerald told Sports Illustrated's Peter King before the draft he hoped Arizona would land Floyd, and the chemistry is already in place. The pair have been friendly since Floyd was in high school and have been well-known text buddies ever since.
Needless to say, this marriage is off to a splendid start.
The Cardinals finally got their man in Floyd to pair with Fitzgerald and the duo will undoubtedly wreak havoc on not just the NFC West, but the entire NFL, for years to come.
Now, if only Arizona could just get Jim Hart or Kurt Warner back under center to sling the rock...
