In keeping with the theme of this week’s read-a-thon I thought I’d do a media post that’s based on a book. This show recently came out in the US (just started 2 weeks ago, so if you haven’t been watching you can catch up quick) but I’m not sure if it’s available internationally yet, but I’m sure you can get it on the internet somewhere.
Under the Dome is a book written by Stephen King. I can’t remember the exact year off hand but I’m pretty sure I read it in high school so it’s been a few years. Now it’s been picked up and turned into a summer mini series, which isn’t half bad.
While researching for this post it looks like CBS isn’t offering free streaming of previous episodes on their site, but here’s the link just in case that changes. Sometimes they do a “you can only view after the second episode has aired + so many hours – how much we’ve made of commercials ^ how angry people will get if they can’t stream episodes”. You can also stream for free if you have Charter or AT&T Uverse cable providers as of right now.
While the show seems to be doing a decent job of following the plot I’d still suggest reading the book too because who knows what they’ll do to try and stretch it out. Although Stephen King is the producer so hopefully that means he’s been able to stay true to his own work.
Seen it already? Let me know what you think in the comments!
