The texture is creamy & doesn't drag on the lips. Although I can imagine if you don't moisturise your lips before hand that it would more than likely stick to dry patches as it has a matte finish. So having a soft & moisturised pout before application is a must.
I also think it's super comfortable to wear and has a pretty good lasting time of two hours. The color will fade a little after eating or drinking but leaves behind a soft tint on the lip.I have the shade '210 Keep it Classy' - a red toned plum shade. This is not what I expected when looking at the pencil in store, I was thinking it would be more of a, dare I say it!? 'Kyle jenner lip colour'. So swatching the pencils before you buy might be a good idea.So your forwarned the packaging is wooden so you will need to invest in a fat sharpener & whilst sharpening you will loose a fair amount of product. The pencil is already quite dinky so I can see it turning into a little nub pretty quickly.
Over all I think the Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil gives great pigmentation & longevity whilst being creamy on the lips. I'm not as wowed as some other bloggers are by the product but I do think it's a nice breath of fresh air from all the lip lacquers & stains we've been seeing constantly from the high street/drug store.
