Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Balm in Soothing Sorbet Quick Review

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
Maybelline tempts us again with yet another addition to their Baby Lips collection.  The Dr. Rescue addition is especially appealing to me because I tend to get very dry lips.  And their release could not come at a more opportune time with colder days being around the corner.

I picked up Soothing Sorbet because the darker pink shade looked very flattering and like a nice, fall shade.  And I have to admit that it is quite gorgeous.

The formula is pretty awesome, too.  On the lips, it actually has a glossy, shiny look that I find flattering.  And that is very unexpected as a lot of balms don't do that.  It is very moisturizing (more so than the other Baby Lips) but some may find the scent a little off putting.  It smells like a toned down version of Vick's Vapor Rub obviously because of the menthol in it. But I'm a little odd and personally love the scent.  Plus it wakes me up a bit if I am feeling drowsy.  The moisturizing effects last nearly 5-6 hours on me.  As for the color/glossiness, that lasts in the 3 hour range, but I do notice a slight stain of color on my lips afterward.
I definitely  plan on picking up more of these.  I have only been able to find these at WalGreens right now. But then again, all of the stores in my neck of the woods are slower than snails at getting new products in.  If you can find them, you should grab one for yourself...especially Soothing Sorbet =)
