May Favourites 2014

By Everybeautytalks

Well didn't the month of May just fly by freakishly fast?! May was a month of purchasing new products (especially skincare), rediscovering old loves, and trying new looks.

Without further rambling on, my favourites of May, in no particular order are...

1. M.A.C Woodwinked Eye Shadow.

M.A.C Woodwinked Eye Shadow.

This is the absolute best eyeshadow to wear on a day when you want to look really put together but can't be bothered to make any effort. Pop this on all over the lid and blend out for a multi-tonal look. Yes that's right, the eyeshadow changes color when blended and makes it look like you have applied another color to the crease; and more effort than you actually have into your daily face!

$33 AUD in a compact or $26 AUD for a pro palette refill pan (both 1.5g). The compacts are available from M.A.C stores and counters, but the pans are only available at freestanding stores.

2. Models Prefer BB Cream.

Models Prefer BB Cream.

I love this stuff. It is my go-to when I really cannot be bothered with a face of makeup but want to look flawless and natural at the same time.

Models Prefer BB Cream retails for $19.95 (40ml) AUD and is exclusive to Priceline.

My full review is available here.

3. M.A.C Ruby Woo Lipstick.

M.A.C Ruby Woo Lipstick.

A red lip for instant glamour was an obsession of mine throughout the month of May; something very unusual for me as I usually sport a pink pout. M.A.C's Ruby Woo is an amazing blue-based matte red that is intense and makes a statement! Oh and doesn't make your teeth look yellow like other reds can, score! When wearing this I like to team it with a simple warm brown smoked out eye or just simply with eyeliner.M.A.C lipsticks retails for $36 AUD (3g) and are available from M.A.C stores and counters.4. Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash.

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash.

Introducing my skins new cleansing lover. It really sorted my skin out this month and made a huge difference to my overall complexion. The deliciously fresh minty scent leaves me feeling refreshed and super-clean.

Read my full review on Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash here. This sells for $29 AUD (150ml). Grab yours from Kit, Mecca Maxima, and other retailers that stock Origins.

5. Palmers Cocoa Butter Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub.

A gentle exfoliating facial scrub combining micro-crushed Cocoa Beans, Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E. The finely crushed Cocoa Beans gently exfoliate, removing dead skin cells to reveal smoother skin beneath.

I love this face exfoliator, it is gentle and does the job right without scratching or being rough on the face like a lot of other cheaper exfoliators.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub retails at a super-affordable $9.99 AUD for a massive 150gram tube. Grab yours from Priceline, Target, Woolworths, Coles, Big W, Chemists Warehouse and other selected pharmacies.Complexion Tea by Tea Tonic.

Complexion Tea by Tea Tonic.

For Beautiful Radiant Glowing Skin! The original and still the best selling of all our teas. Start your day with this famous blend of 5 herbs to help foster a luminous glow. Australian Certified Organic and Caffeine Free.
I love this tea and have drunk so much of it since I picked it up for myself at the Sydney Royal Easter Show instead of a showbag. I love this in the morning to start the day and get my daily glow on! The teas are proven to make a difference to the skin. It is said to even improve eczema (I can't report back on that though, as I do not suffer from it personally). Drink up!

You can purchase this online directly from Tea Tonic, or from their distributors (listed on their website). I have been told that they can organize deliveries internationally, so don't hesitate to contact them to enquire!
