May Collective Haul

By Hhepton

May has been an absolutely hectic month, I literally haven’t stopped with uni work, I’ve had my final exams and portfolio’s coming out of my ears. I’ve barely had time to sit down and read other blogs never mind write on my own, but I’ve tried my best and you may be pleased to know that next Thursday is my final deadline day, then I will be free! I can’t wait to really get back into blogging, I’ve missed it so much and I’m just thankful to all of you who put up with my rubbish posting times and what not :) Back to this haul though, it’s just a few little pieces I thought I’d show you that I picked up over the course of May, enjoy!

Oh actually another thing I want to say is when I was taking these photos I thought ‘I’ll try doing them on my new pretty bed’ then when it came to editing I thought ew these look so bad and unprofessional like I’m just some girl in my bedroom not a beauty blogger! Then I realised I am actually just some girl in my bedroom, and sometimes my makeup space is a little messy so I need to take photos else where :’)

Anyways, first up I made a little sneaky Feel Unique order (or two), they had a deal on where if you spent over £25 you got £10 off, so I jumped at the chance to get a few things I’ve wanted to try for a while. The first things I chose where the theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer, which is officially the most beautiful gold highlighter in the world, and a replacement of my favorite gel eyeliner the Maybelline 24hr Lasting Drama Gel Liner. Seriously that stuff does not budge, and with a few nights out planned in May I knew I needed it back in my life. To take my over the £25 threshold I also picked up one of the Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil eyeliners, just the black one, and with the £10 off code all of this only came to £16 which I was pretty darn impressed with! I then decided this would be the perfect opportunity to add the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette into my life after falling in love with Naked 3 earlier in the year, so I got someone to order it for me for an amazing £27 instead of £37! I think I can safely say I’ve used this every single day since I got it.

The next couple of bits I got when me and Emily went shopping in Newcastle before the bloggers teaspoon event, which I will post about soon I promise! The first bits are from Superdrug and were a bit of an impulse buy, but I’m glad I bought them as I have fallen head over heels in love with the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge, if you have dry or flaky skin – you need it. Simple as. The skincare bits are just Superdrug’s own Vitamin E range as they had them on special offer for about £1.99, I got the SPF 15 Radiance Moisture Cream and Nourishing Night Cream, and for the price they are lovely! The wipes will not be going near my face, my skin is way too highly strung for that, but I do like to have them handy for makeup spillages and cleaning packaging and things like that.

Last up are my super mini Boots haul which were all for my University Sports Ball :) I got one of the Bourjois Colour Edition 24hr cream to powder eyeshadows, it doesn’t give a shade but it’s almost a very subtle pink-brown shimmery color and seriously lasts allllll niiigghhhttt. The Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure nail polish I got has fast went to the top of my favorite nail polishes of all time list, and the shade I got which is Mauve Along is the perfect elegant mauve-nude type shade that I love wearing on an everyday basis. Finally a lipstick recommendation from Emily, Revlon Superlustrous in 002 Pink Pout. The color is lovely but sadly the matte finish is a little unforgiving if you have dry lips so I definitely need a good exfoliation before using this!

I feel like I have so much to ramble on about to you all so I think I might do a little catch up post next Friday when I’m finished uni, if you are even interested in my life haha! I’ve still got so much planned right up until July though so I can’t put my feet up just yet…
