SSU is excited to be a part of #MaxDesignAwards2018 after it covered its first edition in 2014. MDA has definitely come a long way that SSU witnessed in the designs and Q andA with the designers. Here's more to it.
Max Fashion is on its 4th journey of Max Design Awards which gives a platform to fashion design students to unleash their creativity and connect with the world of fashion. This years theme was "Craftivism" and finalists were chosen based on various aspects such as interpretation of the theme, creative details, color aesthetics, originality and presentation skills.

When SSU asked jury-
What was the most exciting part of the process till date?Jury members unanimously agreed with the fact that
It was difficult to decide the 15 finalists in total 1200 entries which made a cut among whopping 3000+ designs across the country.
Our jury members did not leave any stone unturned to finalize the designs and also convincing each other why a design should be selected that was kept anonymous be not labeling it with the name or the city.
Vice President-Design Kamakshi Kaul made a point that their team was extremely thrilled to see participation across the country while Indian Fashion Designer Reena Dhaka and Project Head Marc Robinson stated that MDA has come along way since 2014 when no hands raised for Menswear as compared to 2018 that has many participations in this category.
Rahul Mishra made a point that Fashion Designing industry, the 2nd largest industry generating most of the employment is looking forward to creativity and ecofriendliness among budding fashion designers. WhenSSU asked if there is any message for the designers, Reena Dhaka remarked that
Do not create to please anyone. Get rid of that fear.
Marc declared that each finalist will get 20K INR each to actualize their sketches in their collection and design two outfits for the finale that will be held in Delhi on 21st February 2018.
The gratification for top 3 contestants includes an internship with renowned designers of the Jury Panel, Cash prize of 50,000/- and photoshoot with the renowned photographer which will be featured in the leading fashion magazine Grazia India.
