Mattese Elite Nail Polish from Ricky's NYC

Ricky's NYC was sweet enough to send me a shade of nail polish from their Mattese Elite Carnaval Collection, and earlier this week, my package arrived.

While I was unwrapping my package, my nine year old daughter was anxiously standing behind me, dying to see what was inside the UPS box. She is a girly girl and shares my excitement when my boxes of beauty swag land on our doorstep. When I unveiled the pink polish named Rainha, my daughter squealed with delight. She wanted the vibrant pink on her on her nails! Like right now!

So we rounded up my manicure supplies and got to it. The polish glides on effortlessly and two coats provides full coverage. The formula dries super fast, which is a huge bonus when dealing with an inpatient nine year old, or a clumsy thirty-one year old. When I took the pictures below I had not yet applied clear coat, so this is only the polish. The results were stunning and my daughter and I were thrilled with the color! I can tell that this is going to be one of her new favorites. I am more of a dark nail polish girl during the colder months, but I can definitely see me sporting this on my toes during the summer. Just looking at the bright color made me think of bathing suits, sand and my big floppy beach hat. Which was a welcome thought while it was snowing outside.

The results. Not the best picture but you get the idea.

I really loved the formula of this nail polish and I will absolutely purchase more colors! Stay tuned for a review of a polish from Ricky's NYC Mattese Elite Me Amour Collection, just in time for Valentine's Day!
Rainha from the Mattese Elite Carnaval Collection retails for $5.99 and can be purchased at a Ricky's NYC near you or online at rickysnyc.com
