Make Up Revolution Look 1 with Magnificent Copper

By Beautybykaris @beautybykaris

Hey There,

Last week I spoke about my first impressions of the Make Up Revolution goodies that I had brought. After a lot of hype around this brand I had my fingers and toes crossed that the make up would live up to expectations.

They have made themselves well known amongst the beauty blogging world, for their dupes of high end cosmetics. I have had my eye on the Stila foil effect eye shadow for a while, but at £33.00 (Not to be precise), the reality of me actually buying it was rather slim. As you can imagine when I saw Make Up Revolutions version, I was eager to get my hands on it, but by no means can I determine whether it is indeed a ‘dupe’, as I don’t have the Stila pot to compare it to, (I bloody wish I did).

SO since my ‘first impressions’ post, I have been putting these gorgeous Awesome Metals Eye Foils to the test. Now there is no doubting, whatsoever, as to how beautifully pigmented and eyecatching the Magnificent Copper is. Leaving it all about the eyes, I decided to finish the look off with a black liner flick, and some soft coral lips. Keeping my bronze and blush quite minimal.

A lot of people have complimented me on this look, and I myself love how versatile this eye foil could be. I have so many looks in my head right now, not just for eyes, but how fun would this be on the lips? Not that I would walk around with copper foil lips, but I’m just thinking some sort of magazine shoot, catwalk or even fancy dress? I could use it to line the under eye, or as part of a smokey eye look, and just as I have in the picture below.

To apply the awesome metals and get that foil finish, Make Up Revolution provide you with a primer and mixing tray, which is what turns the appearance of Magnificent copper from a shimmery looking eyeshadow in to a metal foil. To test out its wearability I wore it to work yesterday, (Maybe a bit too glam for work) and it lasted from 7am until the moment I wiped it off, (Approx. 8pm). Unfortunately, during application it does loose its foil effect. I found that after a few hours it looked more like a copper shimmer eye shadow than a metal foil finish. I wasn’t sure whether I mixed too much primer to foil and maybe just didn’t get the consistency right. However I have tried varying this and it seems to have the same effect. For £4.00 I can’t complain much, I still love the colour, and am happy to carry on using it, although I would of loved a better foil finish to it.

What do you think of my Magnificent Copper Look? Have you joined the Make Up Revolution hype?

Lots of love,

KBxx

P.S See that gorgeous Emerald Green in the first two pics? There will be a look created with that next week, so make sure you follow my blog and don’t miss it.
