It’s a glorious Christmas here at Orchard Central; and I couldn't be happier to embark on yet another magical trail with one of my fave malls. One thing I'm happy about is how Orchard Central never discounts on building up some festive cheer; even though the scale of Orchard Road decors lining the streets dwindle each year.
Taking center stage is the towering 8-metre tall Christmas tree located at the floor entrance of Orchard Central, which is quaintly surrounded by over 3,300 sq ft of festive structures and decorations.
I spied people wasting no time in photo-taking opportunities; so if you are a part of the action then remember to hashtag #OCChristmas15 on Instagram to share the love! You could be among the 3 lucky winners to walk away with $150 Far East Organization Vouchers!
Enthralled, I headed on in and was instantly taken by the life-sized carousel; with white laced-motif reindeers, huge candy canes and ballet dancers, all set against a whimsical and delightful festive backdrop. How precious is this?
Venturing down Discovery Walk (1stfloor), I couldn’t resist checking out the goodies at the annual OC Christmas Market Place. This is a one-stop destination include an exciting booth line up by Miss Empire, TOKYU HANDS, TOTALLYHOTSTUFF™, Myth & Legends, Table @ Pip’s Richard’s Atelier! With such a diverse array of fashion, beauty and novelty offerings, you’ll have no trouble getting that special gift for friends and family this Christmas!
Being the beauty addict that I was, I just HAD to make a beeline to Tokyu Hands (#B1-07). Seriously if you haven't already been here, you NEED to. Tokyu Hands stocks a colossal selection of premium beauty, health and lifestyle items. Some of my personal make up recommendations would be Vecua Honey (a quaint line of honey-infuse makeup and skincare products) and NaturaGlace, a poppish vibrant range of makeup.
If you are shopping for Christmas presents, I think this is the best place to begin: from every innovative culinary tools and utensils you can imagine for Mum, interesting health gadgets for Dad to kawaii stationary and bags for my sister who's in University: you'll be just as spoilt for choice as I was!
Having had a love for interior design, I was pleased to find that Fred Lives Here (#02-14) was my next stop. It is the culmination of all things quirky, innovative and all very unique. As its first exclusive flagship store, its open concept of goodies is every design- junkie's domestic dream.
