Had picked up this product earlier in 2014, when I was quite tanned from what I am now and the shade NC43 looked very natural on me without any other base makeup product.

MY TAKE
This was the first time I was trying compact powder foundations, though I have heard a lot about them earlier.
I always used to think these were best friends for oily/combination skinned gals, until I tried this personally.
The product is a finely milled powder that does not feel powdery or patchy on the skin when applied. It comes with a medium-dense sponge for on-the-go application which is housed in a separate compartment below the actual product. Appreciate the hygienic value!
The case shuts close tightly and is non-messy to carry around. The powder compact doesn't break or crack even when it is in on the move almost daily.
The mirror inside the lid helps for touch-ups.
Gives light to medium coverage I would say. One can just apply this compact foundation directly over moisturized skin. Just conceal areas where additional coverage is required and go over that area with this product again to get a smooth finish.
The advantage in this range is that shades like NC43.5 ( a point five difference) are also available, so one can get the perfect shade easily.
I preferred using this compact over BB cream sometimes or just plain moisturized face and love how it gives a natural fresh look to the face, without caking up makeup on the skin to get a flawless look.
Here is a pic at the MAC Store wearing this Studio Fix compact over just a moisturized face -
With me is Renji (Makeupholic World).. Miss you! <3
On my lips is MAC Velvet Teddy - I think it didn't suit me at all and made me look paler than ever! :D
