Lust Have It – May 2015 – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

I was very excited to see what the May edition of the Lust Have It Beauty Box contained after feeling a bit disappointed with the previous box. I’m happy to report that LHI have definitely stepped up their game with this box with some new and exciting brands. Again, this edition came in a cardboard box instead of the usual zipped makeup bag.

There were 8 products included in this month’s box with one being a ‘bonus product’ and there were 5 brands included: Bloom Cosmetics, Soak, Hola, Coconut Revolution and Lonvitalite. The set up of May’s box is quite interesting as with half of the brands, there were a number of product options you could’ve received.

For those of you unfamiliar with Lust Have It, Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box with the inclusion of 5-6 deluxe sized beauty items, priced at only $19.95 a month but if you use the code ‘TRIED’ you can receive $5 off your first box!

From Bloom Cosmetics, you either received a foundation stick or foundation brush whilst from Hola, you received one of 7 different skincare products ranging from creams, a mask, toners, etc. Finally from Coconut Revolution, the inclusion was either a body butter or hand cream. I actually think this set up is really nice as it means you have a greater chance of trying a new and different type of product.

Out of the 8 products, half were full size – foundation/makeup brush, the 2 Lonvitalite masks and the Hola skincare product whilst the 3 products from Soak were deluxe sized samples. Interestingly, my Coconut Revolution product was mini sized, however, on the information card that came with the box, it states that it should be a full sized product.

Overall, I think this box is great value and a definite improvement from the March box as I’m happy to see new brands included. The Hola Seaweed Mask is packaged beautifully and being a new brand to me, I look forward to seeing how it works! Soak is a brand I’ve seen quite a bit on social media so I’m excited to see how well their shampoo, conditioner and body lotion work. The size of each of them is also perfect for short travels.

I would’ve loved to have obtained a larger sample of the Coconut Revolution Body Butter to really be able to test out the product. I have to admit, I have received quite a few sheet masks and Lonvitalite products from past boxes and whilst I am a fan of the brand and its products, I’d like to see something different included in the future and have the box more balanced in terms of the amount of cosmetics (makeup) and other beauty products (skincare, haircare, etc).

What are your thoughts on this month’s bag?
