Lust Have It – January 2015 – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

The January Lust Have It bag arrived on my doorstep on Friday so today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on its contents! There seems to be a bit of controversy with this box as the shipment date of the bag seems to have been delayed quite a few times. Nonetheless, I am happy to report that it’s arrived.

For those of you unfamiliar with Lust Have It, Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box with the inclusion of 5-6 deluxe sized beauty items, priced at only $19.95 a month but if you use the code ‘TRIED’ you can receive $5 off your first box!

Colour by TBN Neon Nail Polish. RRP: $2.50. Received FULL SIZE.

Unfortunately I received the nail polish in a neon yellow shade which is not a shade I ever go for so I’ll be passing this product onto a friend if they are interested.

Urban Skincare Co Infuse Body Balm. RRP: $12.95 for 100ml. Received 35ml Sample.

I’m really happy to see another product from Urban Skincare in this bag as the last balm that I tried from them, I really liked so I’m looking forward to comparing the two and seeing which one I prefer!

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow. RRP: $24.95. Received FULL SIZE.

I cant fault Marsk mineral eyeshadows as they are super smooth and pigmented. I’ve received another shade from a previous box as well as using others to create looks which you can find here.

Beaubox Wonder Powder. RRP: $20.00. Received FULL SIZE.

I have to admit, I dont think I’ve ever heard of the Beaubox brand before but I am a fan of mineral foundation for a really fresh and natural finish although the ‘Nearly Nude’ seems to be a bit too dark for my skintone.

Marsk Certified Organic Eyeliner. RRP: $33.50. Received FULL SIZE.

Black eyeliner is a staple for me and I’m glad that I get the chance to try a different product from the Marsk brand.

Designer Brands Chubby Lipstick Crayon. RRP: $7.99. Received FULL SIZE.

This was a ‘bonus’ product included this month as a way of apologising for the delay in shipment of the bags. I’ve only ever tried 2 – 3 DB products and I haven’t been too impressed in the past but the shade of the pencil is a lovely pink.

Overall, I have to say that I’m not the most excited this month. Whilst the bag is of great value when you look at the cost of all the products, I feel as though these brands and type of products are quite repetitive when compared to previous bags. Many of the brands have already been featured in the past  so I would’ve liked to have seen some more ‘new’ brands and a differing array of products. However, I am still excited to try a number of products from this bag and I appreciate the 5 full size products.

What are your thoughts on the January Bag?
