Lust Have It – January 2014 – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

As I was overseas, I wasn’t able to review my Lust Have It January box when it was sent to my house so today I’ll be reviewing the January box, with reviews of the February box and February FaB box coming within the next few days!

For those of you unfamiliar with Lust Have It, Lust Have It is a monthly beauty subscription box with the inclusion of 5-6 deluxe sized beauty items, priced at only $19.95 a month but if you use the code ‘TRIED’ you can receive $5 off your first box!

Now onto the box I received for January!

Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear SPF30+ in Medium. RRP: $14.95 for 20ml. Received FULL SIZE.

I think that this was a great inclusion to the January box as we were in the midst of Summer but unfortunately I think the shade Medium will be too dark for me so I’ll be passing it onto a friend who will get good use out of it.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel. RRP: $45.80 for 118ml. Received 30ml sample.

Over the past few months, I’ve been hearing more and more about Paula’s Choice and some of their great products so I’m excited to try this AHA gel out as its said to correct uneven skin tone, leaving the skin brighter and smoother.

Simple Skincare Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes. RRP: $6.99 for 25 wipes. Received 7 wipes.

These Simple wipes are one of my favorite face wipes and so I’m always glad to get some more of them! This small 7 pack wipe is the perfect size to keep in your handbag when you’re out and about and great to use after a gym session to freshen up the face!

Model Co Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in Strip Tease. RRP: $18 for 4ml. Received FULL SIZE.

Unfortunately, I have to admit that this is the 3rd tube of the same lip gloss and shade that I’ve received from the numerous beauty boxes I’ve been subscribed to. The lip gloss is however a pretty shade of pink but I do wish that another shade was distributed instead!

Aveda Dry Remedy Daily Moisturising Oil. RRP: $25 for 40ml. Received 3ml sample.

Evodia Lemon Sorbet Hand Cream. RRP: $17.95 for 100ml. Received FULL SIZE.

I’ve really been trying to make an effort to moisturise my body more as some of you would know, I am quite lazy at this so the addition of this hand cream is a welcome addition to my routine and I’ve now placed it on my bedside table for use before I go to bed. It contains shea and cocoa butter, jojoba and macadamia oil to hydrate and protect your hands.

Overall, I am quite happy with the January box however, I do wish that the Model Co lip gloss could have been swapped out for another item or shade as the exact lip gloss has featured in a number of beauty boxes from various companies. I am however, impressed with the inclusions from Paula’s Choice and Evodia which are brands that I’m personally not familiar with, as one of the main advantages of signing up to a beauty box is to be able to trial new products and brands you many not be able to in everyday life!

As Tried and Tested Blog is an affiliate, don’t forget that you can receive $5 off your first months box! Simply enter the code ‘TRIED’ when you sign up!
