#LorealParis La Palette Gold Eyeshadows - Review & Swatches

By Hlthbeauty

We saw the L'oreal BoldinGold lipstick swatches earlier today and how my review on how I love them in the previous post. Click on the blue italics to check out the post.

This post is on the eyeshadow palette from the same collection.

L'OREAL LA PALETTE GOLD

PRICE - INR 1450

The packaging looks very sleek and classy from the outside in a shiny black case etched with golden fonts. Inside it has 10 sheeny to shimmery shades - all infused with 24k gold to keep up with the collection. A mirror and brush are included in the palette for on-the-go touch-ups.

First of all, though the case looks classy and sturdy, one of the eyeshadows arrives broken. And the others seem to be ready to fall apart any time with one mishandling or fall. So not really a travel friendly palette on that front.

Also the shades do not have any name to them, which I would have personally loved!

Coming to the shades included in this palette, I would simply like to put it as refreshing!

With various brands launching palettes left, right and centre all in either rose gold, nudes, peaches or bright & deep pinks and blues.... this palette is an oasis in the desert!

Its got some pretty muted gold, blue, green and gray - most of them leaning to the dusty end, perfect for people like me who like subtle eyes when it comes to eyeshadows.

These shades shall work great for smoky looks and if you are someone into smoky eye makeup, you will love this addition to your vanity.

None of the shades are matte in this palette - all of them sheeny and shimmery, so you will definitely need other palettes/eyeshadows for a complete look. For people like me, who can't handle more than one eyeshadow at a time - you are better of subtle smoky eyes with this one only :D

Also these don't work good with brushes, even when tried wet I didn't get the desired intensity on the eyes. All these swatches are using fingers and similarly it applies good when done with fingers on the eyes, just like the Colourpop Pressed Eyeshadows.

Staying power is a decent 5 hrs without primer and may be 6-7 hrs with primer, before you want to touch-up. At the given price, not bad at all.

I am especially in love with the Champagne Gold, Gunmetal, Denim Blue and Jade Green shades in this palette.

Already available at Nykaa. Not sure if this is going to be limited edition or permanent - so take a call if you want to grab this now or wait for it to get permanent and avail discounts.
