It's been eight years since the last Living Colour studio album The Chair in the Doorway. They released the rather splendid cover Who Shot Ya last year, giving The Notorious B.I.G track a much needed dose of hard rock. Anger is always a good thing for the band to get the songwriting juices flowing and now they have released Come On as the first single of their new album Shade (out on September 8 on Megaforce Records).
Shade will contain 13 tracks: ten originals and three covers: the aforementioned Who Shot Ya, Robert Johnson's Preachin' Blues and Marvin Gaye's Inner City Blues. The album is produced by veteran Andre Betts, who made their Stain album sound loud and upfront way back in 1993.
