Lissome Natural Grace Lipstick in Sugar & Ice

By Natasha Bhatt
Hey girlies,

After a gap of doing the Liebster award post  for which I was really happy to read everyone's comments I am back again with another budget buy from Lissome cosmetics. I have a reviewed a shade before which many of you really liked before called BARBIE BROWN. Lissome as a brand has been in the market for a couple of years. They have revamped their website if you may like to take a look. They have all make up items except for concealers. The shade I will review today is called Sugar & Ice. Let us know more about this product now...

Ingredients: no idea, not mentioned on the packaging.

Price: Rs.99/- for 4.3 ml/g.

What does Lissome cosmetics say about this lipstick:
With Natural Grace Lip Color , one smooth application is enough for that perfect color and even spread. Far from ugly feathering, caking or smudging, it lends a rich shine. Rich in texture, its special emolients keeps lips moisturized & nourished. And colors stay real and vibrant hours after application.
The Lissome lipstick comes in 3 variants - Natural Grace, Its Simple and Eleganz. The lipstick I am mentioning is from the Natural Grace collection. The lipstick comes in a hot pink packaging. The packaging is plasticky and somehow gives me the feeling of cheap quality. Unfortunately the cap opens up easily, hence it is not travel friendly :/
The lipstick is a brown color which is neither too dark nor too light. It has a hint of pink and seems more of a chocolatey brown but  much lighter in color. There is no shimmer to it. It is highly glossy and moisturizing. Due to its moisturizing nature it glides smoothly on the lips. The texture is light and does not feel cakey or dry on the lips. You may require more than one swipe to get the desired color on the lips. There is a lovely perfume smell to the lipstick which I like and reminds me of the fragrance of the lipsticks I would sniff during my childhood :) Because it is so creamy the staying power is not that good, it lasts for 2 to 3 hours. One meal and it is all gone. It does not stain the lips. Sadly this shade is not a color I would like but will suit mature women. However it can be a nice neutral for dusky skin beauties.

The Good:

Inexpensive.
Moisturizing & creamy.
No shimmer.

The not so Good:

Availability may be an issue in small cities.
Multiple application may be required for an opaque finish.
Lasting power is poor.
Smell may be an issue with some.
Packaging could have been better.
Not travel friendly.
Rating: 3.2 /5
Overall these lipsticks are good but I am not a fan of this shade although it may look good in photos, so I would not get this again. This is may be a MLBB shade for darker skin beauties. I would suggest if available where you stay do try and swatch before buying.

I hope my review was helpful to you. Do leave a comment would love to hear your inputs.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Regards,
