How is it already June? This year has flown by. And I am loving it! It has seriously been one of best years. A few fun trips, staring a new job that I love, more fun trips on the calendar, adding Henry the pig to the family and soon another dog. Yes we are crazy! That will make 3 dogs and pig. Thankfully we have the space.
At the end of June we are picking up a Vizsla puppy, this was my husbands brain child and I happily went along with it. He has wanted a hunting dog for as long as I have known him and it’s a great time to do it. We are getting a male and will have him for about 6 months and then he will go away to hunting school for a month. He will learn commands and how to do whatever hunting dogs do (Scott could explain it in much better detail… but I think saying he will learn how to hunt is much easier)
It has been 5 years since I’ve had a puppy and Clifford was already 8 months old when I got him, so barely a puppy. This shall be interesting. Let’s just hope the zoo all gets along! Here is what he will look like:
I know, impossible to resist!
What else have I been up to? I was in Sonoma and San Francisco for almost a week for a girls trip. It was wonderful and so needed! We visited amazing wineries, ate our weight in dim sum, walked pretty much the entire city of San Francisco and the minute I got home I got sick.
Isn’t that what always happens? And it wasn’t just a little sick, it was full on flu, aches, chills, sweating, fever, so not fun. And now Scott has it too. And he never gets sick. Poor guy has barely left the couch since Sunday night. Let’s hope we are both on the mend.
That also means that I have barely worked out. It’s been a long time since I’ve taken more than a week off and my body probably needed it. Thankfully 3 workouts in a row at Fit Fest on Saturday probably cured all that. It was a day of fitness classes, seminars and an expo. I took TRX, Insanity and a spin class. In a row. Maybe not my brightest idea ever after more than a week off but it felt so good. And then I was so sore on Sunday I could barely move. 100% my fault. And I am even planning on heading back to yoga sculpt after way too long of an absence. This shall also make me very sore and will be 100% my fault.
That is what’s new in my world, how about yours?
