Lazy ~ Weekend in Review

By Laura @BEBookworm

Chad was working this weekend and I was kind of lazy. I spent oodles of time reading, watching Angel (and starting watching Sherlock. I’m hooked!) and following #BB16 on Twitter. I did get up to some more interesting things though.

On Saturday night, I went over to a party some friends were having to celebrate their cat, Shakes, not having a tumour. I made some Cinnamon Pecans to share, and I will post the recipe this week. My friend Lisa, who went to the Farm Sanctuary Hoe Down gave me back my Vegan Artisan Cheese book, signed by Miyoko Schinner. I’m sad I didn’t get to go, but this is a consolation prize. Don’t forget to pledge me to help raise money for Farm Sanctuary.

Chad’s been making gluten-free cinnamon buns like a mad man and they are so friggin good! I’m so spoiled.

There were lots of busy bees on the Joe-Pye weeds in Corktown Common. I love seeing all the little pollinators. We depend on them so much!

Luna and I spent National Lazy Day on Sunday on a blanket under a tree in the park. I read and she sniffed the wind and listened to the kids playing.

Thimbleberries are ripe at Corktown Common right now. They’re very similar to raspberries. Unfortunately, most of the plants on a steep hill and I wasn’t wading into them to fall on my butt.
