Layering Textures and Mixing Patterns/colors (ft. Box Clothing)

Hello everybody. Today I have a fashion post for everybody about mixing textures and patterns/colors. All the items are from a site, Box-Clothing. I quite pleased with this website and their prices. They have some very simple pieces that could be used for a casual look, but you can add/ take-away pieces for a work look. I have included some fun pieces and a video at the end to explain better and to give you more visuals. Links to the items used: This look is a little edgy, good for a day out. When I layer textures I like to stay within the same color combination. I not to big on direct opposite colors, but something similar. You can never go wrong with black and nude (hint of pink). I could of gone with a jean pant, but this leather will do. To start I added a Forever Unique Blouse , this was my base shirt. This shirt has all the only two colors I will be incorporating (black and pink-ish nude). Then on top of that goes the Almost Famous Vest, which is one of the two main textures I will be using. Then the long sleeve leather jacket from Muubaa . Basically the furry vest is suppose to peak out of the outfit. Then matching nude/black ChineseLaundry Heels and Ted Baker cross body (super cute).Patterns and textures can easily be layered by sticking to the same color combination. When you have funky textures, like fur/wool, layering them in-between the casual pieces will sure work well. Links to the items used:This outfit was a complete love for me! The combination of mustard and hot pink is great for the summer. I have a pair of polka-dotted pants from Dr. Denim. Then for the shirt I did a sleeve-less, hi-low shirt from Vila. Then on top I did this honey, mustard loose shirt from Forever Unique. If you can pair correctly, it can very versatile. Then I went for a pair of velvet inverted heel shoes from, again, Chinese Laundry. Then I added a leather Guess bag ( crossbody) and a hot pink bracelet from Bibi Bijoux.
I hope that the video below will help you with layering textures and patterns more:) I would also like to thank Box-Clothing for sponsoring this post for me. I don't really do fashion posts often, but this was a nice change.
