Laura Mercier's Foundation Primer is certainly one of the best primers I have used
I have used many primers, only two of those primers are really worth spending, investing my money on.
A couple of weeks ago I was at the +The Urban Retreat Beautique 's Laura Mercier event.
It was definitely one of the most exciting events I have attended. As Laura Mercier is one my favorite makeup brand and I have used many Laura Mercier products but when it comes to primers, you have loads to choose from.
I have an oily/ greasy skin type and sometimes even best primers does not help my foundation stay tight on my face, It is even harder in summer time, as my face gets more oily than winter / autumn time.
I use all sorts of products to take my skin under control, at the end it is not nice, imagine you are going to an important meeting, and your T-Zone is shiny, and half of your makeup already disappeared, you just can not leave the room to powder your nose and forehead, it would look unprofessional, Sometimes my skin makes me feel like I'm 15.
I have used this primer a couple of years ago, but I after finished the product I jumped into another brand, not because I was not happy about the product,I actually was trying to find out a better one.
I actually met another gorgeous primer earlier this year, but it's generally used for backstage makeup and not be everyone's favorite as these days girls want to use lighter based products.
I do not how does this product manages to take the shine from my face but it really does a great job, my foundation stays longer.
Laura Mercier's foundation primer looks really different than the other primers in the beauty market, it is feels like a its a mixture of a backstage primers and gel primers. Laura Mercier is one of Propylene Glycolbased primers that avoids to product to melt or to freeze according to the weather conditions.
It definitely looks and feels like a moisturiser,
Laura Mercier's head makeup artist actually recommended to blend the primer with our fingers, but I asked the question I thought if we use our fingers we would change the structure of the products, eg If you blend your foundation with your fingers you actually make your skin oiler and also make your foundation lighter, heating up the product between your fingers. He advised to use a makeup brush if we have an oily skin.
After seeing the products he talked and showed us I decided to do a couple of posts on Laura Mercier products.
I am asking some time from you, as I am not well for the last couple of weeks. I do try to update my blog regularly but you know if you do not feel well, you just do not want to do anything.
PS: Did you know that Laura Mercier is the first makeup brand ever who developed a makeup primer? I thought it was Smashbox uh oh I was wrong. :(
What's your favorite primer?
