The biggest fashion event is back with a bang! And this time it is bigger and better with a bunch of new designers, showcasing their sustainable creations on day 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week. With the current trend and bent towards Make in India, the textile day of the fashion event deserves all our attention as brands like Tripti's Exclusive in association with Galang Gabaan presented their Jewelry collection on the ramp and were supported by well known faces from the fashion and film fraternity.

"Super excited to walk for Lakme Fashion week as the showstopper. I haven't done a look like this before. The jewelry is lovely and is made from Polymer clay it also endorses our Indian-ness".
~~~ Adah Sharma, Showstopper
A bit more about the Tripti's Exclusive:
What better way to kick off the Fashion Week by showcasing the designs of a young 26-year- old self-taught Jewelry Designer Nishtha Goel. Launched in 2013, her brand Tripti Exclusive's makes exquisite Polymer Clay Jewelry where each piece is made with utmost love and passion. The Brand in her own words is an ode to her mother who has been her source of inspiration and has motivated her always. Each and every design made has a story to tell as the products used are new age products which are not used by many in the market. Though Polymer Clay jewelry is easy to mold, but to make each piece requires patience and the man hours involved are time consuming, this is why not many pieces are made at stretch thus maintaining exclusivity to the customers who buy it.
About her participation at the Lakme Week, Nishtha feels that "Since Tripti's Exclusive represents Indian aesthetics and culture in each and every piece, show-casing them at such a big platform is not only overwhelming but it's like a 'living your dreams and see them come alive'. Feeling truly elated and happy, Nishtha is looking forward to many more such shows to come".
There were many known celebrities from different sectors who came all out to support the upcoming designers - Mr and Mrs Kabir Bedi, Ms Madhoo Shah, Mr. Sushant Divgikar, Shikha Uberoi, Ishita Dutta, Singers Sukriti & Prakriti, Nikkesha Rangwala, Feryna Wazheir etc.
Sushant Divgikar who was not a part of Lakme Fashion Week for almost 5 seasons also came to Lakme Fashion week as he felt that Lakme has evolved with the inclusion of diversity on the ramps with transgender model Anjali Lama walking for the first time ever in the show. He also wore Tripti's Exclusive Jewelry & went on to say "I am in love with the handcrafted work on the jewelry, it is different, it is chic & it is simply wow".
This is just a beginning for the designers, there will be many more spring & autumn collection added to their fashion journey.
I'm sure this surely did excited you, isn't it? Share your views in the comment section.
