Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse (Golden Medium)- Review

By Rishiraj @beautyglimpseIn

Lakme had launched the Lakme Absolute Mattreal skin natural mousse a while back and everybody loved it at first glance but how good is it truly? I read many reviews online and finally convinced myself to buy one and try it. So here I am with the review of Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse.

Lakme Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse, as per Lakme will lend you a flawless, feather-light finish that will last all day long.

Packaging: Really cute and chic! The colors itself are so classy, the black, silver and gray combo is simply awesome. It comes in a black box and the container is a round silver gray pack. The lid has a glossy mirror finish. It is cute packing although I wish it came in a pump or tube packaging as that would have made it more hygienic to use. Once you open the lid, it has a flip opening and you get the product. There is a small book provided with the box describing the ways to use the product.

My take on Lakme absolute Mattreal skin natural mousse:

Lakme claims this product will give you breathable skin and it does do that for sure. The mattreal mousse is very light and feels great on the skin. It does have a citrus fragrance but lasts only until you apply the product, so it can be ignored. It has SPF 8 and claims to last up to 16 hours.

I picked up the Mattreal mousse in the shade golden medium, there are many shades with both pink and yellow undertones, and you may pick the one that suits you the best. Lakme Mattreal mouse unlike the other foundation is a lightweight mousse product. It spreads very smoothly on the skin and blends like magic. The skin feels super smooth once the mousse is applied. It is best applied with the fingers. The coverage provided is light to medium. It gives a matte finish hence this one works best for oily skinned beauties. Dry skinned beauties can carry it off with a moisturizer prior to the mattreal mousse.

It gives you a smooth, fresh finish however does not do much on the pigmentation or acne spots. The staying power is great and it also minimizes the appearance of fine lines and skin pores. If you have an acne prone or pigmented skin, i would not recommend this one as it does not practically cover them at all.

Direction: Take the product with your fingertip and dot it on the face. Spread it and blend it well gently.

Pros:

  • Light feathery texture
  • Blends well on the skin
  • Minimizes the appearance of fine line and pores
  • Light to medium coverage
  • Great to control oil
  • Excellent staying power

Cons:

  • Citrus fragrance that may not be suitable to some
  • Light to medium coverage, which means it does not take care of pigmentation or acne scars.
  • No pump or tube packing

My Rating: 4/5

Will I purchase it again?

Yes, I will as this is a great everyday product for me especially as it gives me a smooth finish and since I have an oily skin this works well for me. If you want a smooth matte finish with light coverage than this product is for you. Try it out and let us know what you think about it.
