It’s not cheap, costing £14 on Escentual for 50ml of product, but even if you can’t manage to find a discount code online I still think this is worth it and will definitely be repurchasing again once this runs out. The La Roche Posay Anthelios XL 50+ really is what it says, ultra light, and that’s what makes it worth the price tag. A lot of the time higher SPF suncreams can be thick and white, and feel heavy and greasy once on your face, but La Roche Posay have got it spot on with this little wonder product. I like to use it on top of my normal skincare products (moisturiser and eye cream), and underneath makeup, giving my usual moisturiser about 10 minutes to settle before applying this on top. The consistency is really thin and dries really quickly once applied to the skin, not leaving any type of greasy or shiny film behind which makes it a great base to put makeup on top. I haven’t found it to make my makeup wear any worse, or break me out in spots, so I’d give this one a 10/10 for all round good-ness!
Final bonuses: UVA + UVB protection, both of which are essential to fully protect your skin. Water resistant, non-perfumed and paraben free formula, so if you have sensitive skin or worry about what chemicals might be in your skincare then you will still find this suncream up to scratch! What do you think then, would you pay £14 for the La Roche Posay Anthelios XL 50+? If not, what’s your favorite facial suncream anyway? I don’t think you’ll convince me to ditch this and my Kiehl’s SPF 30 daily moisturiser, but you sure can have a go!
