LOreal has a new collection popping up at stores. You are probably familiar with their Collection Exclusive featuring reds and nudes. Now they have unleashed the pinks. I like the idea behind this collection. It is easy to find your perfect shade based on your skintone. They expanded the celebrities in this collection to include Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez, Blake Lively, Doutzen Kroes, Liya Kebede, and Naomi Campbell. You just pick the celebrity with the skintone closest to yours and that should be your perfect shade of pink. They have a good range of pinks to choose from.
They also have corresponding nail polish. I purchased three of the lipsticks and two of the nail polishes. Overall, the collection is nice, but I am not too impressed. All of them are on the sheer side and require some building up to appear opaque. The feel more like a balm than a lipstick, so they have a hydrating feel. But I don't find them to be moisturizing. They have no staying power, either. They last about two hours on me.

Julianne's Pink is a cool toned, bright baby pink. This is my least favorite. It adheres to any dry spots and it just doesn't look good on the lips. It settles a little bit and separates at the center of the lips. I also have to build up the color a lot to get any kind of payoff. It terms of longevity, this one is the worst.
Eva's Pink is a warmer toned rosy pink. This is my favorite of three I have. It applied smoothly and the texture was great. It was creamy and I didn't have to keep applying it over and over again. The nail polish is gorgeous, but is very streaky.
Doutzen's Pink is Julianne's Pink brighter, bolder big sister. This is a fun, springy color. It is sheer, but buildable. Like the others, it doesn't stay on for a long time. However I have noticed that it does leave behind a slight stain. It does settle into fine lines a little bit, but not as bad as Julianne's Pink. The nail polish is gorgeous. but the first coat was streaky. Luckily that went away with a second coat.
I love the lipstick packaging for the Collection Exclusive. They are a beautiful matte black with gold accents and the corresponding celebrity's signature. The lipsticks are $9.49 and the polishes are $6.49 at Walgreens. At Ulta, the lipsticks are $8.99.
Unless you are a die hard fan of pinks or have been collecting these lipsticks, I would probably pass. I will still wear these, especially Eva's Pink, but I own lipsticks that have a much better formula.
