Kitchen’s Closed

By Kyle Knapp @Kyleknapp5

One of the simplest ways to lose weight is to shorten the time window you eat in. Additionally, limiting your late night snacks is a key to managing your weight.

Best way to do both: close the kitchen after dinner.

It might be hard to do upon first thought but it really makes a substantial difference. Closing your kitchen after dinner eliminates almost every waist expanding snack that most of us fall prey to during a time it goes to our waist the most. It also lengthens the time between your last meal of the day and the first of the next, which dramatically helps weight loss by allowing the body more time to live off stored body fat.

For instance, if you finish dinner at 7pm and don't eat until 7am, then you've just gone 12 hours (half the day) without eating. The more time you spend not eating the better and if you can have most of that time happen when you're going to be sitting on the couch and sleeping it's even better.

True, it means you don't get all the late night treats that many of us eat mindlessly out of habit but that's very important this time of year. If you're out at an event or party, don't worry about it, the kitchen's open. Just make up for it on the nights you're at home.

If nothing else, practicing closing your kitchen now will benefit you greatly in a couple weeks when we all start taking our weight loss seriously. 😀
