Jun Ji Hyun for Harper's Bazaar

By Rolala @rolalaloves

Jun Ji Hyun almost seems as if she could be channeling her character of Cheon Song Yi in these editorial images lensed by Jeon Seung Hwan. I debated whether to share these and settled on featuring just my favorite photos from both the Harper's Bazaar Korea and Harper's Bazaar China pictorials because I felt neither were entirely that strong on their own and the excessive Photoshopping on some of the images was just perplexing to me. See what I mean just below. She's looking pretty fantastic in the "original" image on the left yet somehow they decided she wasn't tall enough for the Chinese edition on the right. I just felt a need to mention this because I find it generally disturbing and this is the type of thing that creates unrealistic body image issues for people as if that wasn't enough of a problem already. If you're curious, here are links to the entire Korean editorial and the entire Chinese editorialThe last time I cited an overuse of Photoshop was in this Elle editorial with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Lee Byung Hun.

There's no denying that she totally pulls off these key SS 2014 designer looks in these though. Ji Hyun and her costar Kim Soo Hyun are now more popular than ever thanks to the highly successful run of their recent fantasy romance drama You Who Came From the Stars which I'm finally getting around to watching now. I can't say it's not even close to being my favorite K-drama this year but Jun Ji Hyun's amazing wardrobe has kept my interest. And her performance as a haughty actress who falls in love with an alien who has lived on Earth for 400 years is rather spot on. She is also known as Gianna Jun and has made several Hollywood films including Blood The Last Vampire and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (the book was much better than the movie btw).
