In high school, my skin was really broken out from teaching swim lessons in a heavily chlorinated pool. It was something I was very embarrassed about and I tried everything to try to clear my skin up. I honestly think I tried every face wash in the beauty aisle. Finally, my mom took me to a local spa for a facial and it was there that a miracle happened. The woman that did my facial recommended I use Dermalogica's mediBac clearing skin wash alongside Dermalogica's Active Moist moisturizer. After several weeks of my new Dermalogica regimen, I saw a noticeable difference in my skin.
Seven years later, I still swear by the two products. The light-weight foaming cleanser minimizes acne bacteria and helps clear existing breakouts. The moisturizer is also light weight and is oil-free; my skin feels completely quenched when I apply it. Plus, both the cleanser and the moisturizer contain no artificial fragrance or color, which is perfect for my sensitive skin. The products can be a bit pricier than drugstore finds, but taking care of the health of your skin is worth the splurge.
I've found Dermalogica products at spas and Ulta stores, but there are a ton of websites out there that offer these items, some even at a discount.
