It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? Button
" data-orig-size="474,356" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" aperture="aperture" /> Hosted by Kathryn from Book Date, this is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 23 April 2018. To learn more about each book, just click on the book cover! This past week did not allow for much reading time. Between Connor coming home and some much-needed household work, my evenings and weekend disappeared into a fog of talking, cleaning, and chores. Better luck next week!
FINISHED SINCE THE LAST UPDATE:
Book Cover Image: The New Neighbors by Simon Lelic
" data-orig-size="267,400" sizes="(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px" aperture="aperture" />The new Simon Lelic was a bit slow. It wasn’t what I expected either, which is both good and bad. Mostly, I could barely stay awake each evening to read more than a chapter or two, so I am going to have to dig deep for that eventual review.
Molly Harper’s latest novella was a lovely little romance about miscommunication and finding what will make you happy. Amanda Ronconi does another stellar job narrating, especially as there are more male characters than normal in the story. For those who have been hesitant to read anything by Ms. Harper because of her penchant for paranormal stories, this one is set in the south with not a vampire or ghost in sight. It was a perfect listen while I was working my way through the piles of papers on my desk at home.
DID NOT FINISH:
I did not read enough to DNF anything.

April Review Copies:
At least I finished the March review copies before May. I need at least two more good readathons to catch up, I fear. Especially because my May review copy list is equally long.
