To learn more about each book, just click on the book cover! Not a bad week for books. In fact, I have thoroughly been enjoying my foray back into YA. It only reminds me why I love the genre and need to read more of it.

" data-orig-size="267,400" sizes="(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px" aperture="aperture" />Marie Lu’s newest novel has been getting a ton of marketing attention over the past few months and with good reason. It is an excellent book. I tore through it, dropping pretty much everything I had planned to do just to read it. The only bad part is that now I have to wait forever for the last book in this duology.
Jodi Meadows’ latest trilogy is also impressive. First of all, dragons! Seriously, she makes me want one. Her heroine has major issues, which I liked. The story is detailed and offers a lot in the way of world-building. Plus, I loved how diverse her characters are. If I read between the lines, I don’t think there is a single non-POC character in the entire novel. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Patrick freaking Ness ripped out what was left of my heart after Adam Silvera destroyed it and smashed it to smithereens. What a book.
Kendare Blake’s sequel is so darn good. Damn her for making such compellingly flawed heroines!
I am going to give MacKenzie Cadenhead props for an interesting premise. Unfortunately, her story is heavily cliched with a laughable attempt at sounding scientific. I finished it if only because I wanted to see how she would wrap up her convoluted plot. It did keep me entertained though, so there is that.
DID NOT FINISH:
