What Are You Reading?” is a weekly event to share what we’ve read in the past week and what we hope to read, plus whatever else comes to mind. Here is what I read the week ending 28 January 2019. I always forget how much I detest the month of January for work. It starts out slowly, but once everything hits, it is balls to the wall until mid-February. It means working through lunches, working late, and getting home so exhausted that the last thing you want to do is get back on the computer to read through personal email or to write reviews. Being exhausted means passing out after reading only a few pages of your current novel. It does not help when your current novel is more literary and thought-provoking than action-packed. Still, it looks like I will finish the month having read two more books than I planned and having finished all review copies for the month. It is not a bad way to start the reading year.
