iSOi Bulgarian Rose Intensive Energizing Cream Review

By Urhappybunnie @joaniebunnie

I have previously reviewed two products from this brand, iSOi Bulgarian Rose, the Pore Tightening Tonic Essence and the Blemish Care Serum, and I have always liked their packaging - simple, clean and fresh. Aside from that, I also like how mild their products are which is especially great for sensitive skin. Because of the mildness of their products, I was quite curious to try out this one because it is an Intensive Energizing Cream for Day and Night. "Intensive" was the word that got me.

The Intensive Energizing Cream is actually part of the skin care line from iSOi Bulgarian Rose that targets skin lifting and firming for daily care.
Taking this from iSOi website, the Intensive Energizing Cream is described as:
Cream contains 25 different natural ingredients, rich with nutrients and vitamins for the skin
All-purpose solution: lifts saggy skin, whitens and moisturizes dry skin
Brings back original vitality of the skin and promotes the skin’s own ability to recover
Slows down aging by smoothing wrinkles and feeding the skin with nutrition from the Cream contents

They had also kindly listed down all the ingredients for this cream if you are ever so curious on what it's made of.
Water, Glycerin, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Squalane, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Trehalose, Betaine, Glyceryl Stearates, Cetearyl Alcohol, Arbutin, Stearic Acid, Arachidyl Alcohol, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Behenyl Alcohol, Arachidyl Glucoside, Ceramide 3, Adenosine, Xanthan Gum, Allantoin, Pleurotus Cystidiosus Ferment Filtrate, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Coptis Chinensis Root Extract, Castanea Crenata (Chestnut) Shell Extract, Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Corchorus Olitorius Leaf Extract, Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Melaleuca Viridiflora Leaf Oil, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower/Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Rhus Semialata Gall Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Chrysanthemum Indicum Flower Extract, Sophora Japonica Bud Extract, Prunella Vulgaris Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract As you can see above, their ingredients consists of extracts and oils from flowers and fruits that are known to have great benefits for the skin. Of course, you can't forget their main ingredient which is rose oil, and once you open the jar, you would feel like you just stepped into a rose garden with it's rosy scent.

It comes in a frosted, glass jar, which is similar to the packaging of their other products, and a gold plastic cap. Inside the box, is a spatula, which I like to have in handy for hygienic purposes.
As I was saying before, I was curious on how "intense" this Intensive Energizing Cream will be since the products I've tried from the brand before were all so mild, and with my dry skin, I really wonder how this would fare. I was surprised how well this cream actually worked. Since I had pretty low expectations, I was really happy that it gave my skin the hydration it needed. This cream is geared more towards anti-aging and as I've said in reviews for anti-aging products, the key is always hydration. We often get wrinkles because our skin is not properly hydrated and I think this product does the job well. It is a day and night cream but I only use this at night because it is too rich for a day cream especially if you layer it under makeup. Applying this under makeup would make you oily throughout the day and even with my dry skin, I did notice a lot of oil on my T-zone after 5 hours with makeup.

This product has exceeded my expectations and it is currently one of the night creams I have on rotation. To be honest, after receiving a lot of creams from bnt, I hardly ever realize what I use at night most of time after I review a product. I just have the creams in one area of my vanity and just choose at random. If a product makes it into the vanity area for my nightly raffle draw of which moisturizer to use, then it is a great product. If it doesn't make it there and is hidden somewhere... well, out of sight, out of mind.
This is something I would definitely recommend and the quality is great however, there is only one downside about it and that is its price. On the iSOi website, it retails for $90, which is definitely a lot of money. I think it is a good investment but the price of $90 is still too much for a 60ml jar. I do believe that effective and quality skin care products can be quite expensive but it still depends on how much money you are willing to put down. If you do get this product, I'm sure you wouldn't regret it but my advice, especially with buying any beauty products online, make sure to get from trusted sellers and check the ingredient list for sensitivity to ingredients as well as read reviews - you might find some scents, or other things offensive about a certain product.
