Is Pedro Alvarez Finished in Pittsburgh

So wither Perdo Alvarez, clearly still struggling with his throwing, badly misfiring with the bat and seemingly not the starting 3B any more at least in Hurdle's mind. Crunch time could well be when Marte is back with J-Hay going as the regular 3B, then what 1B? or waiver trade bait? Seems Pedro is out of minor league options so could the Pirates pull the trigger and DFA him one season off 36 homers?

The most likely thing for this season is to keep working with him to try and fix the throwing. Long term, a move to first is the most likely fix. They won't do a position change this late in the season, that will likely happen in the off-season and during spring training.
