Introducing: Trilipiderm

By A Mused Blog @Amusedblog

I am excited for today's post for so many reasons: I have the opportunity to speak to you about skincare, it's a relatively new brand, and it's a natural, plant-derived line that gives you healthy beautiful skin.
With spring here and the summer sun just around the corner, our skincare routines need to go through a shift. It is good to change up skincare routines with the seasons, as the sunnier months are when most people begin to remember the need to wear sunscreen (although, it should be worn every day), and our skin is adjusting to the changes in climate.
I began using Trilipiderm after my serendipitous, last minute trip to New York. My skin traditionally doesn't take kindly to airplane travel, due to all the recycled cabin air. In addition to that, the lack of food, sleep, and walking the windswept, wintry sidewalks of Manhattan for 3 days meant that my skin was in some serious need of rest and repair. When I arrived back home to Sonoma County, I had the Trilipiderm skincare line waiting for me.
Trilipiderm is a natural-derived, science-backed skincare line that focuses on the hydration of dry skin. The branding looks like a product you would see at a high-end spa: with blue lettering and silver caps and details, the containers feel solid in my hands. The products really "class up" a vanity too.
Their philosophy is to "create products focused on solving and preventing dry skin by using only ingredients that mimic what is naturally found in our skin". Rich in Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins A, C, D, and E, I found the Trilipiderm products to be lightweight in texture and deeply moisturizing upon application. One thing that I also loved was the product line's price point: while certainly not the most inexpensive, the pricing is more than fair for the high-quality ingredients, beautiful packaging, and results that Trilipiderm delivers!
Today I'm highlighting my 3 personal favorite products.

Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème, broad spectrum SPF 30
As a firm believer in wearing sun protection daily, I test out a variety of viscosities for sunscreen. I have found that I prefer light-to-medium weight sunscreens (read: not watery, not super thick), that play well with my 12-step skincare routine, and my daily makeup.
What really impresses me about the Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème is that it contains Hyaluronic Acid; which is a favorite skincare ingredient of mine. Our skin naturally contains the acid, and in higher doses, it is used to treat burns, wounds, and skin ulcers. It is a water-loving element and attracts moisture to the skin. To find a sunscreen containing HA is something I never knew that I wanted, but definitely do!
The texture of this sunscreen is lightweight, creamy, and non-sticky. It smells like a traditional sunscreen, but does not give a white cast. It plays well with my multiple essences and serums, and when worn under makeup, it gives a beautiful semi-dewy look. I like that it sinks into my skin quickly, and doesn't feel tacky on my skin. This is a solid keeper for me.

Trilipiderm Rehydration Night Crème
This night crème is thick and would be an "end product" in that it's thickness would have it be the last, final product applied within a nighttime skincare routine. While thick, I don't find it to wear heavily on my skin; I'm not overly aware that I am wearing a "night cream". It has a light powdery scent that I find pleasant. Note: no perfumes have been added to this product line, it's just the natural occurrence of the ingredients.
About a week ago in my ever graceful existence, I managed to fall off the bed (completely sober) and scrape and bruise my arm on my nightstand. Given what I know about HA (which this night creme also contains), I decided to do a little experiment: would my scraped arm heal more quickly and efficiently with regular application of the creme? I often get the urge to scratch scrapes that have scabbed over (try saying that 10 times fast!), and I wanted to see if keeping the area moisturized would help alleviate that urge. The itch went away whenever I applied the Rehydration Creme, and so far my arm is healing nicely, and quicker than usual. I'm impressed.
Properly hydrated skin heals faster than dry, dehydrated skin. The Trilipiderm Rehydration Night Crème is rich in moisture enhancing essential lipids that replenish and rebuild the skin's protective layer, to keep the skin plump and hydrated. Complete with HA, and Vitamins A, C, D, and E, this night cream can also be used during cold, wintry days to protect against harsh unpredictable weather.
What I really enjoy about the Rehydration Night Crème is that it can cut down the steps in my nighttime skincare routine. When traveling, it is my regime that takes up a decent amount of space in my luggage. Being confident in the multi-tasking efforts of the Crème, I feel fine eliminating any additional moisturizers from my routine, if needed (I still use my essences and serums).

Trilipiderm Ultra Hydrating All-Body Oil
Spraying on oil after the shower reminds me so much of growing up in Hawai'i. I remember how my mother would pick me up after school, and how we would all go to the beach for an hour or two. Coming home, we'd shower the salt water off and moisturize with an oil spray.
The Ultra Hydrating All-Body Oil is rich in Squalane oil; an oil naturally found in our skin. Where some oils act as a "sealant" on the skin, Squalane is very emollient and can encourage hydration retention, thus acting as an actual moisturizer of the skin. This means that you can actually layer the Ultra Hydrating All-Body Oil with an additional lotion if you wish. I, however, haven't found a need to do so.
I like to use this oil right after showering; I spritz it on to my towel-dried skin, and gently rub in. It absorbs quickly and leaves a nice gentle sheen. The scent of this is so incredibly faint, that I would say that it is nonexistent. Feel free to wear scented lotions, perfumes, etc. while using this. I haven't experienced any issue with combining the two. What I love most about this product is that it isn't greasy; I don't have to worry about oil stains getting on my pajamas, or clothing while wearing this.
One minor frustration is that the bottle doesn't seem the best at preventing leaks; so this is something that I would want to leave a home while traveling. Should the bottle ever be left on its side, there will be some leakage. However, that is more of a packing issue, than it is a performance issue. The oil is something that I really look forward to using after a shower. I also like to spritz it on to my skin just before bed (I like to think of it as a "sleeping mask" for my body).
