Firstly, the opportunity save a good chunk of money by not paying rent was an incentive, then I inspected the house, it's modern, it's fully enclosed and not over-furnished, it has a beautiful garden and it's secure, it's off a main road so it's quiet plus it has a bath spa and a cat I'd be taking care of.
I've had so many problem's in this flat, just to name a few: high electricity bill's which I'm sure has something to do with the hot water boiler temperature gauge being faulty, problem's with the stove door, the fridge/freezer stopped working, my backdoor deadlock broke so I was 7 day's without a proper lock on my door and on Good Friday night we had a storm and the guttering was blocked, the rain had nowhere to go but down the inside of the wall's of my flat from the ceiling to downstairs. I
Here'sa video of the flood. At the time it was very stressful. I felt like I was fighting a losing battle because the water kept coming. I was close to tear's and I thought I'd know what to do in an Emergency but the truth is I didn't. I'm lucky a neighbour, my boss and 5 fireman came to help me.
After Friday night I'm so happy I handed the agency my Notice to Vacate on Thursday. I'm pretty sure if I hadn't had the incident on Friday it would've been the final straw. I'm going to miss my view but saving money, being able to have a bubble bath, the nicely furnished house and the location, the garden plus the cat outweigh reason's not to do it. I'd prefer it was a minimum of 6 month's but I can still save quite a bit of money over 4 month's and will start looking for a permanent place in late July/August.
I decided because I didn't have to change my address from the current one to the new one for just 4 month's, to get myself a PO Box. If you'd like, please write to me or send me a postcard.
I'll definitely film my April Faves but it'll be pre-recorded and scheduled to go live at the end of the month. I'm going on holiday on Thursday, 25th April so I'm looking forward to a couple of day's in RotoVegas (Rotorua) and then I'll be traveling to Auckland.
Hopefully, I can get a few day's off to pack my thing's, move and return to the current flat to clean it and hand back the key's by 19th May. The sooner I've moved into the house the better.
If you don't follow me on Instagram, please do. I'll be taking picture's of my holiday and vlogging but I can't upload the vlog's until I get home, otherwise I'd be spending time uploading and not being outside to enjoy the scenery etc.
I'll also be on Twitter here and there. My Instagram will be the main source of keeping in touch and I'll publish photo's from Instagram to Twitter.
So I can enjoy the holiday, I won't be taking my MacBook and they only way of being connected to the Internet will be on my iPhone. I don't know how I'm going to last a week without my computer, it's going to be hard because I'm online a lot.
Normal business will resume in early June, if not before and there might be a couple of
posting's between now and 24th April and again after my birthday on 18th May.
