Michele struggled with her weight her whole life, and not even weight-loss surgery and intensive exercise helped with that. During the last couple of years, a few additional health issues had crept up on her too.
But when a woman at work declined the regular pizza for lunch, and instead bringing her own keto food, Michele became interested. The woman fortunately turned Michele to Diet Doctor and the keto diet, and the rest is history:
Michele's story
I have struggled with my weight my whole life. I am now 57 years old and have found that the last few years it has been almost impossible to lose even the smallest amount of weight. In 2001, I had gastric bypass surgery. My lowest weight after surgery was 169 lbs (77 kg), which I swear only lasted a week even though I was doing high impact arobic exercises four days a week.
Since then I have struggled to keep my weight off but finding my body seemed most comfortable at 200 pounds (91 kg). At this weight I suffer with back issues and knee problems. I also had noticed my blood sugars creeping up. But again trying to lose weight just ended up unsuccessful.
Then one day I was training a new class and one person had brought her lunch instead of joining in our usual pizza luncheon. Her lunch actually made my mouth water. After class I spoke to her about her diet and how asked her how she got started. She told me about the Diet Doctor and started giving me tips for the rest of the week. This was the 12th of April 2019.
Today is November 7th 2019 and I am 41 pounds (19 kg) lighter. After my first week of keto the weight just fell off. I now am down to 172 lbs (78 kg), only 3 pounds (1 kg) shy of my lowest post-surgery weight. I am so proud of what I have accomplished. I feel so good about my self. I love the keto diet and the results.
