I hope you all had a fantastic Father’s Day whether you are a father, father to be, or a daughter celebrating with dad.  I’m lucky to have a dad that’s always been there for me and it was nice to spend some time with him without having to run off to

work.

Today’s borrowed inspiration (it occurs to me now that I should have been doing some kind of father’s day related posts over the last few days..oh well) comes from CraftKlatch.

Her tutorial is a seven minute

video about how to make jewelry using nail polish and flattened glass beads/marbles.  My mom always has a stash of these types of beads and the craft itself is very simple.  Not to mention once you’ve made your jewelry you can paint your nails to match.  How fantastic!

She doesn’t talk about how to finish these beads in her video, but you could easily hot glue a ring backing to it  or set it as a pendant and put it on a chain.

This craft is super simple, I could see doing this as part of a summer

school/camp project because it uses so few resources and is relatively un-messy.  In fact, you could do this as a birthday party craft too, have girls bring a bottle of nail polish to share and just have fun.

Any craft ideas you’re working on this summer?  I’ve decided that if someone would pay me to do nothing but crafts all day I’d be totally happy.  I’d also be happy if someone would pay me to read all day…

Have an inspiring start to your week, bloggers!
